Microsoft certified Pakistani wonder kid makes world record by creating 7 computer operating systems

ABBOTABAD: After Arfa Karim now another Pakistani wonder boy has made world record after creating Microsoft and Google certified seven computer operating systems in the suburb of Abbotabad.

This teen computer genius of Pakistan, 14-year old student Sikandar Mehmood Baloch, lives in Bilal Town situated in the suburb of Abbotabad.

Sikandar not only become certified expert of 107 computer engineering languages in this young age, he also received all important certificates of his achievements from the Microsoft and performed work for the Gooogle.

He received further 25 certificates as acknowledgement of his unique work performed for Google the biggest search engine in the world.

Sikandar Mehmood is studying in 9th grade in a local school and he has made many Linux Systems (From VVS1 to VVS7) and developed an indigenous anti-virus system as well.

Sikandar made world record at the age of nine after making his first operating system. He works with many web sites and earns over 70 US dollars daily. SAMAA

Luqman has been given threats by sleuths of Punjab Govt

Senior anchorperson Mubashar Luqman has been given threats by sleuths of Punjab Govt. 

Mubashar said that he has been warned of dire consequences for exposing the true face of Punjab Government earlier in his talk with Dunya News. He however expressed determination that neither him nor any staff member of Dunya News would succumb to pressure tactics of the dictatorial rulers of Punjab. He said he would continue to uphold truth as per motto of Dunya News and its management and would continue to raise voice for the rights of the people.

Revealing the extent of threats, Mubashar Luqman had earlier told Dunya News said that anchors and staff have been warned that their whereabouts and addresses had been listed and anything could happen if ruffling truth about Punjab government’s performance was reported further. He said that the callers would even say that they knew the exact addresses of the schools the kids of Dunya News management go to.

Ajmal comment sparks action confusion

Saeed Ajmal, Man of the Series as Pakistan whitewashed England 3-0 in the UAE, has sparked confusion over his bowling action by giving an interview in which he appeared to claim that he has special dispensation to exceed the 15-degree tolerance limit currently permitted by the ICC.

In an interview with the BBC, Ajmal volunteered the belief that the ICC has allowed him 23.5 degrees of flexion to compensate for an accident in which he injured his arm. The ICC, however, were quick to reject the suggestion.

Ajmal said: "Someone is telling me my action is bad because the ICC allowed me as a bowler 23.5 degrees, because my arm is not good. A few years ago I had an accident. Otherwise, no problem, the action was cleared by ICC."

An ICC spokeman denied that was the case. "There is no dispensation for anyone," he said. "It is worth remembering that his first language is not English and this may have been a slip of the tongue."

It may be that Ajmal, having bamboozled England's batsmen all series, was simply leaving his best trick until last. Renowned for his sense of humour, it could be that Ajmal, who started the series talking of a teesra delivery that never materialised, was simply joking.

Ajmal tormented the England batsmen in all three Tests, claiming 24 wickets in the series at an average of just 14.7. Their inability to distinguish between his off-break and doosra caused particular confusion and vastly reduced the effectiveness of England's much-vaunted middle order. Ian Bell, Eoin Morgan and Kevin Pietersen all failed to average more than 13.

While Bob Willis, the former England captain turned pundit, had raised concerns about Ajmal's action at the start of the series, the England team have been reluctant to be dragged into any controversy. Consequently, they have stuck to the line that it is job of the umpires and the ICC to scrutinise bowlers' actions.

However, Andy Flower, the England coach, expressed his surprise after being told of Ajmal's remarks. "If that's the degree, then there's a problem," Flower said. "That's ridiculous.

"That is an ICC issue, though. They are there to police the game, and make sure that it is played within the rules, so they've got to scrutinise his action. We've all got our own views, but our job is to combat whoever is put against us, and part of it is also to play the game in the right spirit."

Rehman Malik admits weak Anti-Terrorism Act allowing banned organisations’ continued activities

Islamabad, Feb 4 (ANI): Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has stressed the need for improving a law to control activities of banned organisations. The Daily Times quoted Malik, as saying that the delay in approval of an amendment to the Anti-Terrorism Act was the main reason behind banned outfits’ holding rallies across the country. He was replying to a point of order raised by Sheikh Waqas Akram of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Sahibzada Fazal Karim of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N). Malik said that revamping of laws was the solution, but an amendment bill had been lying with the Senate standing committee for the past two years. Earlier, Akram said that Rehman Malik had lied before the cabinet committee that the provincial government was responsible for the rallies of the Defence Council Pakistan (DCP). “This is a shame for the interior minister. How can you fight the war against terror, if you are unable to stop rallies of banned outfits in the country?” Akram had said. Fazal Karim endorsed the view of Waqas Akram and urged the government not to allow banned outfits to hold rallies in the country. In response, Malik said that these organisations had been rallying by changing their names. He assured the House that action would be taken if any rally was held in the federal capital. “Revamping of laws is the only solution to the problem and parliament is the authority which can do that,” he added. Earlier, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani had announced the grant of one additional basic pay to doctors and paramedical staff of government hospitals from January 1 in addition to their existing salaries.
