At least 4 people including FC Commandant Safwat Ghayoor have been killed and 11 others sustained injuries in a suicide blast near the FC office in Sadar, Peshawar on Wednesday. The suicide bomber struck his explosive laden motorcycle with the vehicle of the commandant while he was coming out from FC Headquarters.
Safwat Ghayoor was a brave police office who played key role in the fight against militants during his various postings. He also remained CCPO Peshawar before his present posting as FC commandant. Safwat Ghayoor was brother-in-law of PPP-S leader Aftab Khan Sherpao.
