Federal Cabinet resigns; PM hails performance ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet ministers have tendered their resignations to Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, who intends to dissolve the cabinet and appoint a smaller version to tackle economic problems, Geo News reported.

According to the report, the ministers submitted resignations during the last meeting of the current Cabinet held here on Wednesday. The State Ministers were not invited in the meeting.

"Today's meeting is going to be the last meeting of the present cabinet," Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani told the cabinet.

While hailing the performance of Cabinet ministers, PM said that 77pc of the cabinet's decisions have been implemented while 175 other decisions are being implemented.

The PPP’s Central Executive Committee (CEC) in its last meeting had decided for right sizing of the Cabinet under 18th amendment and in consultation with the coalition partners in a view to cut down government expenditures.

گوجرانوالہ میں تھانہ سی آئی اے اور سپیشل برانچ کی عمارتوں میں یکے بعد چار دھماکے ہوئے۔جس سے ارد گرد کی عمارتیں لرز اٹھیں۔کوئی جانی نقصان نہیں ہوا۔
گوجرانوالہ میں صبح سات بجےکے قریب تھانہ سی آئی اے کی عمارت کے عقب میں دو زور داردھماکے ہوئےجن کی آواز دور دور تک سنائی دی گئی۔ دھماکوں سے قریبی عمارتوں کے علاوہ سی آئی اے کی عقبی دیوار میں سوراخ ہوگیا۔ بم ڈسپوزل اسکواڈ نے جائے وقوعہ پر پہنچ کر پلاسٹک کے بڑے کین میں نصب ایک بم ناکارہ بھی بنادیا۔ دوسری جانب آرپی او آفس سے ملحقہ سپیشل برانچ کی عمارت میں بھی ہلکی نوعیت کا دھماکا ہوا ہے۔ تینوں دھماکوں میں کوئی جانی نقصان نہیں ہوا۔ تھانہ سی آئی اے کی دیوار کے ساتھ دھماکا خیز مواد کو پلاسٹک کے بڑے کین میں رکھا گیا تھا۔ چوتھا دھماکابھی پی سی او عمارت کے قریب ہوا. وقوعہ کے بعد پولیس حکام وہاں پہنچ گئے۔ پولیس نے علاقے کو گھیرے میں لے کر تحقیقات شروع کردی ہے۔۔

Gujranwala: blasts hit police offices, 4 hurt GUJRANWALA: Three blasts have targeted law enforcement agencies' offices in different areas here on Wednesday injuring four persons, Geo News reported.

One explosion took place outside CIA Center Building, second explosion occurred near SP Special Branch Office, while the third one and the most powerful of the three blasted inside police rest house leaving three wounded. A bomb planted outside CIA building was diffused.

Buildings received minor damages but no loss of life has been reported in explosions, police said.

Heavy police contingents have arrived on the scenes and cordoned off the blast sites.
