Teen may sue lad's mag over raunchy photos

A teenager who gained fame on a modelling reality show may sue a lad's magazine after it published raunchy photos allegedly without her permission.

Kassandra Zandt said she is outraged that Zoo Weekly has run three photos in this month's edition that show the 18-year-old performing a fake strip tease.

But Zandt's mother Nikki told the Cairns Post her daughter was in talks with a lawyer because she thought the photos of the 18-year-old, which show her stripping down to black underwear, would never be published.

"I am not too happy that they ran the photos — I'm not impressed," Mrs Zandt was quoted by the Post as saying.

Kassandra earned screen time earlier this year on reality show Make Me a Supermodel, which was hosted by former Miss Universe Jennifer Hawkins.

Zandt was eliminated on the show's third episode.

Her mother said that her daughter was persuaded to take the shots at a time when she was vulnerable.

But Zoo editor Paul Merrill was surprised to hear that Zandt was upset with the shoot, saying the aspiring model had signed a consent form.

"She approached us and asked to be shot by our photographer and we were pleased to oblige," Merrill was quoted saying.

"She signed a model release from and told us repeatedly she wanted to appear in Zoo."

Merrill said Kendt's brother was present at the shoot and that the spread "can only help her modelling career".
