جمعرات کو چار نئے ججز کے حلف اُٹھانے کے بعد سپریم کورٹ میں ججز کی تعداد سترہ ہوگئی ہے۔
سپریم کورٹ نے قومی مصالحتی آرڈیننس یعنی این آر او سے متعلق عدالتی فیصلے پر نظرثانی کے لیے حکومت کی طرف سے دائر کی جانے والی درخواست پر سترہ رکنی لارجر بینچ تشکیل دیا ہے جو اکیس نومبر سے اس کی سماعت کرے گا۔
اس سے پہلے سپریم کورٹ انیس اپریل سنہ دوہزار گیارہ کو اس درخواست کی سماعت ملتوی کر چکی ہے۔ اس کے بعد نظرثانی کی درخواست پر سماعت اس لیے نہیں ہوئی کیونکہ عدالت عظمیٰ میں ایک ہی وقت میں سترہ جج دستیاب نہیں تھے۔
